The updated BlenderBottle classic bottle adds a new, convenient carrying loop and flip cap design to the tried-and-true original BlenderBottle. The patented BlenderBall wire whisk moves freely inside the bottle as you shake, mixing even the thickest ingredients with ease. The leak-proof seal, premium materials, and unparalleled mixing - coupled with the new additions - further reinforce the classic's position as the world's best-selling shaker cup. Features secure screw-on lid, wide mouth for easy mixing and embossed markings that measure both ounces and milliliters. The BlenderBottle classic is dishwasher safe, BPA- and phthalate-free, and comes in three different sizes. Perfect for protein shakes, smoothies, pancake batter, scrambled eggs, fiber drinks, dressings and meal replacements.

The blender bottle is pretty handy to have around for mixing thinner fluids like powdered drinks or omelet mixes. With thicker mixes like cake mix or pancake mix, the mix powder just thickens in the blender ball and it's a mess trying to get out of the bottle. The manufacturer says you could mix peanut butter into drinks with it, but we haven't had luck with anything thicker than pancake mix (and even then, we supplemented the mixing by beating it with a fork after shaking).
It's pretty cheap and it is handy for a few things so we recommend grabbing one of these. It's also handy to have a measuring cup and mixing cup in one. You can also mark various mixtures proportions on the side and eliminate the need for measuring cups for your most used mixes.
We like the small bottle so we can still use it to mix things in even if by hand. Also, with the smaller size, less mix gets stuck on the sides and you'll get more out of the small servings here on Dorm Room Meals. There is a benefit, however, to the larger bottle. It's a pretty convenient container to keep silverware and cooking utensils in and away from dust and dirt if you need to store it under your bunk or under your sink.
The bottle is theoretically microwave safe without the lid and blender ball, though we've never tried it. It is dishwasher safe which is pretty awesome … if you have a dishwasher.
