Dorm life doesn't have to mean you can't have delicious desserts! This simple but delicious cake can be cooked in just a few minutes in a manner that would surprise you.

Combine one packed cup of mix in a shaker bottle or small bowl with the egg, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.

Pour the mix into the sandwich maker or tortilla maker leaving plenty of room for expansion. Cook for about 2.5 minutes. If you put a toothpick into the thick part of the cake, it should come out dry. The cake will also cook a little while it cools.

The cake mix we buy comes in 1 lb. (16 oz.) boxes. We just keep our extra mix in a sealable plastic bag. You can use a folding cutting board to funnel ingredients into a shaker bottle.
